The PROBLEM
This chemical bund lining repair project presented one of the most challenging environments RU Coated has encountered. The existing flexible lining had failed in under five years — in an area located directly above several active hospital operating theatres.
The location created severe restrictions on acceptable working methods. Where possible, the priority was to leave the existing flexible lining intact and develop a solution that could be applied directly on top, with minimal disruption.
Chemical Bund Lining Repair: Our Approach
RU Coated conducted a series of onsite prequalification trials to establish which materials and preparation techniques would be best suited to the work.
The trials established that a repair system could be applied directly over the existing flexible membrane — significantly reducing disruption and working within the strict constraints of the hospital environment.
