Bund System Viability Tested to the Limit

PROBLEM

The lining of this chemical bund in a hospital had failed after less than 5 years.
This area was located over several operating theatres, and so there were sever restrictions on acceptable working methods.

Where possible, we had to leave the existing flexible lining intact and develop a system that could be applied directly on top and with minimal disruption.

SOLUTION

RU Coated conducted a series of prequalification trials onsite to establish which materials and preparations techniques would be best suited to the work.

Adhesions trials proved that a Belzona flexible lining could be installed with minimal disruption to the areas, and a working recommendation was issued to the contractor.

Once completed, the client was delighted with the system and a further 3 bunds were completed shortly afterwards.
