Dredging Pump Refurbishment Costs Reduced
PROBLEM
The dredger pump on this vessel had suffered significant localised damage with several areas requiring repair. The damaged areas extended into nozzles, but the worst attack had been in the belly.
The vessels time in the drydock was limited, as was the budget available for the work.
SOLUTION
Vessels rarely get significant time in drydock, and so a fast response is essential for most jobs. RU Coated was onsite within 1 hour of the call for help, and was commissioned for the material specification, working recommendations and inspections.
The Belzona 1814 was chosen as it offered excellent abrasion resistance at a more affordable cost. RU Coated continues to offer responsive services for the drydocks and the vessels moored onsite.
