Contractors Trained in Unconventional Concrete Repairs

PROBLEM

Whilst we can provide training onsite to staff on a wide range of applications, sometimes our clients demand more formal training for their staff.

This client owns a considerable housing stock across North Yorkshire and Teesside, and had requested certified training in polymeric concrete repairs.

Repairs using solvent free epoxy float screeds can offer real cost savings over conventional systems, and these skills had been lost due to staff turnover.

Training can become expensive for large numbers of staff if they have to pay. In addition, if the training facilities are remote, there will be overnight accommodation and sustenance expenses, as well as the cost of staff spending days out of their working roles.

SOLUTION

RU Coated has run these courses for many years and was quickly able to set up this practical course at the clients’ own workshops.

Ultimately, the 1-day course was repeated, and a total of 16 staff were trained in concrete repairs using high performance epoxy screeds.

After assessment, the training costs were less than half, and individuals were only detained for one day.
